Wrinkl today announced its launch of a new cloud-based group messaging platform that brings productivity back to workplace communication. Wrinkl’s native suite of innovative features reduces clutter, distills what’s important, and provides the tools to act on it—all without leaving the conversation.
By combining the immediacy of group messaging with the durability of email, Wrinkl reduces the number of fragmented communications taking place across multiple applications. Now, workers can keep the conversation all in one place, creating a system of record, and have tools to not just talk about work, but get work done more effectively.
“Business conversations are happening faster, and communication platforms have to evolve. Email—a onetime marvel—is a bottleneck today. Workers want quicker, more collaborative tools such as group messaging, which work well in social contexts, but are proving unsuited to the needs of organizations,” said Marc Cohen, co-founder and CEO of Wrinkl. “Our platform addresses the deficiencies of group messaging for business, providing workers with native functionality to prioritize and streamline conversation, raise productivity and enable true collaboration.”
A first-of-its-kind platform leveraging patented technology, Wrinkl’s capabilities include:
References – With one click, identifies the earlier message to which a new message responds or refers.
1:1 Sidebars – One-to-one private communication within larger group conversations.
Email Integration – Emails can be sent directly from any Wrinkl channel and responding email received there. The responses are private to the recipient, even in group channels, but can be shared with the group, if desired.
Lists – With one click, any message can be added to Lists, which are viewable at a glance. Lists include to-do lists, or items the user is tracking, or just a list of messages the user wishes to consider later.
Bundles – Important conversations and groups of messages can be saved and archived as Bundles. Bundles can be shared with colleagues or kept private to the user. Bundles is slated to be released in the first quarter of 2018.
Surveys – Surveys are created quickly and simply without leaving the conversation, and can, if desired, include people outside the group as recipients. Survey responses are grouped together as they come in, and results are rendered with graphs and visualizations for easy analysis.
At a Glance – Wrinkl has two modes, Chat and At-a-Glance. At-a-Glance is where a user’s Lists and Bundles reside. It’s where a user’s @mentions are saved. And it’s where the attachments and links a user sends and receives are grouped for his or her easy retrieval.
