WorkForce Software, the leading cloud-based provider of enterprise workforce management solutions, today kicked off its Vision user conference with the debut of EmpCenter® 15.1, the latest version of its award-winning suite.
Through EmpCenter, WorkForce Software has helped hundreds of large and midsized employers improve the way they run key workforce management processes, such as tracking employee hours and absences, managing schedules, streamlining compliance with labor laws, mitigating the risks of employee fatigue, and controlling labor costs. The newest release reflects WorkForce Software’s commitment to continually evolve the platform, with new capabilities that enable organizations to easily monitor labor trends, act more swiftly and adjust to dynamic conditions more smoothly than ever before.
Highlights of this latest update include:
Key performance indicators: EmpCenter 15.1 introduces a new library of key performance indicators (KPIs) that are included as part of the core product. Graphical views synthesize critical metrics, giving a clear view of operating trends that warrant manager attention. Selected users see a primary KPI immediately upon login, and can access numerous others via a KPI dashboard with a single click. Additionally, KPIs can be configured to display client-specific metrics, providing even richer information to improve day-to-day decisions.
Enhanced user interface: The new release continues to improve usability and overall look and feel. Employee photos, for instance, are now shown on screens throughout EmpCenter, making it easier for managers to find key staff at a glance and helping them manage dynamic teams in an ever-changing work environment. In addition, a configurable list of key employee details can be easily referenced from the timesheet, enabling managers to quickly validate job, location and other details without leaving the page.
Simplified maintenance: Administrators also benefit from better tools for maintaining schedule templates and adjusting holiday calendars—including advanced search, sort and preview functionality—all within a completely redesigned user interface. These enhancements make it easier for users with all levels of technical ability to harness EmpCenter’s legendary flexibility.
Advanced data capture: Along with the software enhancements, WorkForce Software also introduces the EmpCenter 4000, a robust time clock solution featuring a 7-inch touchscreen interface, an industrial-grade design and a full range of badge reader options. The EmpCenter 4000 continues WorkForce Software’s tradition of providing a wide spectrum of time entry and data collection models, capable of meeting the toughest operational demands, and based on open technology standards.
“Workforce management technology should do more than just automate time and schedule transactions—it should help a business operate more effectively today, and plan more intelligently for tomorrow,” said Kevin Choksi, co-founder and CEO of WorkForce Software. “With the launch of EmpCenter 15.1 and its unique set of KPIs, we have substantially improved our clients’ ability to monitor, manage and act on labor trends. The result is an informed, improved and empowered approach to running a business.”
