Aptos, Inc., (formerly Epicor Retail), a recognized market leader in retail technology solutions, today announced Vestis Retail Group has deployed the Aptos singular commerce cloud platform to converge its retail enterprise to support growth and seamless experiences for its customers.
Following several acquisitions, Vestis needed a go-forward platform that would enable the company to fully leverage the synergies of its new expanded retail enterprise. One of the country’s largest outdoor-focused retail groups, with more than 150 stores, Vestis Retail Group, formed by Versa Capital Management, operates Bob’s Stores, Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) and Sport Chalet.
Vestis went live on the Aptos platform in just nine months, migrating three separate businesses that had previously been running three different retail technology systems. Mergers and acquisitions can present information technology challenges for retailers needing to support omni-channel retail demands. Vestis wanted to merge all operations into a single platform to gain operational efficiencies, consolidate vendors, and avoid merging multiple legacy software offerings.
Vestis is leveraging Aptos proven retail solutions, including: Aptos Store (for Point of Sale), Aptos CRM, Aptos Analytics, Aptos Merchandising, Aptos Store Order Management and Sales Audit and Operations Management.
“Aptos has played a significant role in providing the platform to power Vestis’ expanding retail business,” said Mark Walsh, CEO, Vestis. “This was a significant technology migration and consolidation project. The Aptos singular commerce cloud platform has given us exceptional scalability, reduced risk, and improved speed-to-value, while freeing up information technology resources to support other projects focused on growth and innovation.”
“When we talk about ‘the Aptos Way’ and our approach to engaging differently with our clients, we underscore the need to act collaboratively and also with urgency,” said Noel Goggin, Aptos CEO and culture leader. “Following a merger or an acquisition, retailers have great opportunity but grave challenges in interoperability. There is a great need for collaboration and a tremendous urgency to realizing the full potential of the investment and operational synergies. With the Aptos singular commerce cloud platform that supports seamless experiences, Vestis Retail Group can now fully realize the potential of its expanded retail enterprise to continue to lead in the outdoor and sports retail sector.
“Vestis’ migration of three brands and three platforms to one platform was a very ambitious project, given the tight time period and broad scope of applications and users. This could not have been accomplished if not in the cloud,” said Goggin.
With over 122,000 stores live on its singular commerce platform available in the cloud, more than 500 retail brands across the globe rely on cloud-ready Aptos solutions to generate over $523 billion in annual revenues.
