TargetX, the leading provider of CRM solutions for higher education, announced the first of three annual sets of product releases for 2016, featuring a dynamic approach to the national problem of student retention; an integrated platform that helps faculty, administrators and advisors connect complex student data to monitoring and helping students well before they are at risk of failing.
“The TargetX Student Success Center is designed to give advisors and staff quick access to richer data as well as facilitate easy ways to engage more quickly with students,” explains Sasha Peterson, CEO of TargetX. “Our fully-integrated, mobile-designed tool comes with a proprietary algorithm that factors in key indicators such as academics, finances and student engagement — with one-click access to the student’s grades, notes from others across campus, as well as appointments, tailored surveys and action plans.”
Most retention products on the market today are focused on raising flags when students are in trouble – failing class, not showing up on campus, even requesting transcripts to transfer to another institution. These indicators are all too late for intervention. Students today need to see a clear path to their goals right from the beginning. That’s the difference with TargetX’s Retention CRM – institutions can now create action plans that guide students to success while also monitoring their key indicators along the way.
“Proactive action plans are key to student success,” Peterson continues. “So we are excited to offer an elegant and intuitive ‘Student Success Center’ where advisors or faculty can communicate with students and set appointments with them, all in an easy to use interface designed to build individualized action plans that ensure their students succeed.”
This is the first of three releases for 2016, which reflects TargetX’s new approach to product innovation. “Our new release schedule reflects TargetX’s ongoing commitment to developing products that continually make life easier and more successful for our clients, whether you are an administrator, advisor or student at that institution,” says Vivian Wong, newly appointed Chief Technology Officer at TargetX.
The new TargetX product release cadence mirrors that of Salesforce, the innovative CRM platform that TargetX is built upon, with new products and enhancements being released in the Spring, Summer and Winter of each year. This year, a significant focus is also on providing solutions that are mobile-friendly with modern user-interface design.
The “Year of the Experience” follows last year’s groundbreaking “Year of the Product,” during which the company released transformative products, such as a new application reader as well as the first mobile-first, student-friendly online application.
