SYNAMETRICS TECHNOLOGIES, a New Jersey-based solutions provider for IT professionals and computer systems developers, has introduced SyncriBox, a secure, private cloud-based alternative to services like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, DropBox and Box. Included as part of the latest version of Syncrify (v. 3.9), its private cloud backup software, SyncriBox provides an easy way to store shared files that can be accessed from anywhere on the internet, and is designed to synchronize documents, music files, images and other similar files.
With privacy often voiced as the primary concern when using cloud based services, SyncriBox was designed to ensure that the software remains
completely under the customer’s control. Having both the source and destination files remain under the user’s control, there are no privacy or security issues. Since files are synchronized using Syncrify Server, no third party ever sees these files.
An additional SyncriBox benefit is that since there is no limit on how much data is synchronized, there are no usage fees, no bandwidth throttling and no limit on the number of users. There is no difference whether users backup 1 GB or 100TB.
