QASymphony, the leading software testing solution for midsize and large enterprises, announces a new partnership with Agile training leader cPrime. The two companies will offer customers moving to Agile Development methodologies a full array of capabilities: training, advisory and education resources from cPrime, and testing tools made for Agile, from QASymphony. CPrime and QASymphony recently landed their first joint client, and are in discussions with several others.
Last month, Gartner named QASymphony a Cool Vendor in Application Development. The company develops a suite of applications for automating, recording, annotating and visualizing the Agile testing process, with approximately 5,000 users worldwide. cPrime delivers best practices for Agile processes through its trainings, and provides Agile software optimization and contract professionals to assist enterprise IT departments. For the past six years, the company has been named the Fastest Growing Private Company by the Inc. 500 | 5000, San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
Large companies are moving to Agile in an effort to deploy applications faster, foster innovation and be more responsive to business needs. Yet the transition can be difficult without adopting new processes and development tools. Tools used in traditional Waterfall methodology, for instance, don’t work well in Agile environments because they are built for much longer development cycles rather than short sprints. On the process front, development teams often struggle to maintain quality with faster release cycles when moving to Agile. Both of these gaps can result in application failure or suboptimal results from new Agile teams.
“Increasingly, we’re finding that our clients need help on the management and testing front,” says Zubin Irani, CEO of cPrime. “QASymphony is tightly focused on the Agile community. Its software enables rapid testing with excellent tracking and visualization and also provides a superior JIRA integration, which many of our clients prefer for Agile project management.”
“A major risk of Agile is quality, and with our platform, companies can reduce bugs and be much more efficient with testing, says Dave Keil, CEO of QASymphony. “We’re excited to partner with cPrime, the leader in Agile training, as we’re seeing a surge in demand for training and information from our customers. Working with cPrime, we can offer internal development teams a faster and more successful path to Agile.”
