One of the UK’s leading engineering information management specialists has this month announced the launch of an upgraded version of its intelligent suite of software engineering tools comprising increased functionality to deliver the ultimate data management solution to companies in the oil and gas industry.
Designed to provide engineering information as it should be, Datum360 – headquartered in Teesside with offices based in Aberdeen, London & South East, Houston and Kuala Lumpur – introduces its version 3 upgrade to its leading software including CLS360 and PIM360.
The advanced software allows Datum360’s clients to easily manage changes to data, documents and models which is a critical component of maintaining operational assets and to do so with integrity.
With LiveMetrics being an integral feature of the upgraded software, Datum360’s clients will benefit from in-depth analysis of metrics for attribute groups – which help to organise attributes in an entity – that has previously not been available and as such will allow instant and more accurate reporting.
Speaking on the software enhancement, Steve Wilson, CEO and Co-founder of Datum360 said: “We are delighted with the improvements to our already progressive software. As one of the leading software specialists in our field, we are constantly looking to evolve and enhance our offering to ensure our clients can utilise important engineering information to save time and money managing their key assets.
“For so long the relationship between managing changes to data, documents and models has been overlooked in the engineering database systems that are available on the market. This functionality is implemented into our Version 3 suite of tools – including CLS360 and PIM360 – maintaining operational assets, with integrity.”
The additional functionality in Datum360’s software update has been made possible through a simple to use and highly configurable module called Engineering Information Change (EIC).
Integrated in Datum360’s CLS360 software the EIC module allows specific processes to be defined and configured with corresponding information being managed throughout its lifecycle until its completion. This is integrated seamlessly into the operational data set as well as other operational systems.
In addition to this, Datum360’s new software also has an advanced search feature allowing its clients to quickly find and refine required information, effectively being able to google your engineering data.
Steve added: “As a result of implementing our robust information management systems to the start of major asset intensive programmes, our clients have saved millions of pounds in the long run. As we continue to grow, we will constantly work to add significant value to our expanding global client base.
“With technology advancing at a fast rate we will continue to implement upgrades to our software to ensure that we stay ahead in providing state of the art engineering information management systems that will significantly reduce costs and increase operational efficiency in any major oil and gas project.”
The company’s new software upgrade is already implemented in operational sites via a fast, smooth and unobtrusive process that highlighted the benefits of the SaaS approach to software deployment and use.
Datum360 has a team of specialists operating across oil and gas projects, operations and decommissioning. They have delivered class libraries to most of the world Supermajor oil companies and boast clients including Maersk Oil, BP, Total, Chevron and GDF Suez.
