InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC), a mobile technology research and development company, today announced that it has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), a global non-profit, public-private partnership with over 200 member organizations.
The Industrial Internet Consortium was founded in March 2014 by AT&T, Cisco, GE, IBM and Intel to bring together the organizations and technologies necessary to accelerate the growth of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The consortium focuses on forwarding the development of IIoT technology, improving security, and developing IIoT innovation through testbed development. Industrial Internet Consortium member companies include the most progressive and innovative companies from around the globe.
