Gravit.io is the world’s first web-based pixel design tool and it just released its new version, growing by 100% within the first week. This new version makes it easier for users to create, edit and manage their designs. Gravit offers features that will allow anyone, be it a beginner or a professional, to start designing free of charge. Whether it’s your company’s new logo, Facebook timeline cover or your next website; Gravit has basic features that are catered to those who are not familiar with design software, and also has advanced features that a professional would be happy to use in his everyday work.
The young startup from Germany received a lot of positive feedback from its design community. In the first week after the launch of the new version, the number of registered users doubled. “We are very satisfied with this result”, states Alexander Adam, the founder of Gravit. “In the coming weeks our goal is to observe the community and to listen carefully to what works, what doesn’t and, most of all, what kind of features they would like to see in future updates”, he adds on. With three updates already pushed since release, based on community feedback, the team at Gravit is working hard to improve the software and service even more.
The beta version was launched in May 2015 and it was already picked up well by their users. Since then, the team has worked on version 2.0 release that offers new and improved features, such as the professional Bezigon Pen and over two dozen photo filter options. Unlike other design software and services, Gravit is not only a pixel design tool. It is a cloud-based design platform that allows users to design, share their work and interact with other designers and community members. As Adam states: “Users don’t want to be limited by the tool and experience, they can actually grow and learn more. With Gravit they can. You no longer have to open a design software, then save your work or export to a compatible format, and then upload it to a design community and ask them for feedback. Gravit already does that for you if you make the design public”, says Adam.
Gravit is an all-in-one tool which enables users to create any kind of professional design: Screen design, Illustrations, graphics, print designs… Instead of buying the licence for different programmes, you can use Gravit and pay a monthly subscription fee. “We want to help designers and average users to get affordable access to professional design tools.”, says Alexander Adam. “With Gravit we offer them all the features they need in one place and provide easy access to their works and collaboration with others,” he continues.
