From March 31 to April 2, 2014, BZ Media LLC hosted the third BigData TechCon in Cambridge, MA. The event presented a variety of sessions and tutorials designed for IT and big data professionals including business analysts, developers, software architects, data scientists, and project managers.
Key topics covered at the event included practical Hadoop training, classes on MapReduce, R, Hive, and Pig. Seminars took deep dives into the world of NoSQL databases and educated attendees on mastering Mongo DB and Cassandra.

Hitachi Data Systems was on hand to discuss how it drives real-time decisions with the Hitachi Unified Compute Platform for the SAP HANA Platform. The two organizations have built on their strategic partnership, which was formed nearly 20 years ago, to provide analytics solutions for the enterprise. With it, organizations can eliminate barriers and enjoy fast, informed decision processing with SAP HANA software running on the Hitachi Unified Compute Platform Select for the SAP HANA Platform.
HP Vertica offers its Analytics Platform 7 “Crane,”which enables users to accelerate business value from an expanded variety of data by simplifying the exploration and analysis of semi-structured and dark data.
Informatica Corporation is an independent provider of data integration software. The company helps organizations worldwide to maximize the return on data and drive top business imperatives.
MindStream Analytics LLC is a consulting and managed services firm focused on helping clients improve business understanding and decision making. Primary focus areas are business performance management, business intelligence, and business analytics.
