Diamanti, the industry leader in bare-metal container and Kubernetes infrastructure, today announced a new version of its D20 appliance that will be delivered with full integration and support for Red Hat® OpenShift®
Container Platform. The Diamanti D20 RH for Red Hat OpenShift is Red Hat Hardware Certified, and pairs Diamanti’s best-in-class container infrastructure with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux®.
Containers have revolutionized how applications are architected, developed, and deployed, but legacy infrastructure isn’t architected for the way containers use storage and network resources. Enterprises waste time and resources trying to leverage outdated infrastructure to support containerized applications — usually without success. The result is slower time to market, rising personnel and equipment costs, and growing frustration between developers and IT operations.
The combination of Diamanti and OpenShift Container Platform enables enterprises to gain the improved agility and enhanced performance of containers -— from development through to production-scale deployment — with a simpler path to bare-metal deployment for cloud-native application development. Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform customers receive one-stop support from Diamanti, through the Connect for Business Partner Program.
“OpenShift Container Platform has become a leading Kubernetes platform for enterprises focused on cloud-native workloads and multi-tenant deployments,” said Tom Barton, CEO at Diamanti. “Now, Diamanti gives you container infrastructure in minutes. For any enterprise that is seeking the agility and performance of bare-metal containers, Diamanti with OpenShift Container Platform delivers the performance, simplicity, efficiency and enterprise features that users need to run stateful containerized applications in production.”
“Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform pairs the innovation of Kubernetes with the improved stability and enhanced security that businesses need to run production applications across the hybrid cloud,” said Julio Tapia, director, Cloud Platforms Partners Ecosystem, Red Hat. “We’re pleased to collaborate with Diamanti to bring OpenShift Container Platform to their D20 appliance, making it easier for our customers to launch and maintain enterprise Kubernetes deployments on bare metal.”
The solution fully leverages Diamanti’s intelligent storage architecture which gives users per-container quality-of-service (QoS), along with snapshot-based data protection. Users can also take advantage of Diamanti’s multi-zone clustering capabilities to enhance infrastructure fault tolerance.
