Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI), analytics, and data management solutions, today announced a free, 14-day trial of WebFOCUS Business User Edition (BUE), its self-service analytics solution for business users and analysts. Through the simple-to-access cloud trial, organizations can explore the broad range of WebFOCUS BUE’s self-service capabilities, including an all-new user interface and analytics innovations for sharing and operationalizing insights among teams and workgroups.
To make faster and smarter decisions, non-technical business users increasingly require access to reports, charts, dashboards, and other data visualizations, that allow them to identify opportunities and insights. With WebFOCUS BUE, business users are no longer reliant on IT or BI developers for this information. WebFOCUS BUE is built on Information Builders’ WebFOCUS platform and provides businesses that need less than 100 seats with access to a slice of the complete functionality that drives the largest BI and analytical apps in production today. The solution makes self-service possible through a powerful and robust cloud environment that combines governed analysis and discovery capabilities with the power of creating and sharing analytical views and content.
WebFOCUS BUE is comprised of WebFOCUS InfoAssist and a personal portal. InfoAssist allows business users to explore their data, unearth trends and patterns, and create a variety of static or interactive analytical views that can be pushed out to other business users. These analytical views can be easily assembled into pages within each user’s personal portal, and shared or embedded into third-party applications. The reports and dashboards can also be scheduled or distributed based on custom parameters to drive alert-based interactions. Using Information Builders’ patented In-Document Analytics technology, report recipients inside and outside of the firewall can drill down into data and explore content, such as a 401k status or sales report.
The free 14-day cloud trial of WebFOCUS BUE allows organizations to sample some of the capabilities of the full WebFOCUS platform via this special self-service edition. Users can upload their own spreadsheets and begin discovering the solution’s benefits immediately. The new library of video explainers showcases the features and functionality to get users up and running fast.
Kevin Quinn, vice president, Product Management, Information Builders, said:

We’re excited to offer a 14-day cloud trial so that organizations can put its capabilities and their data to the test.”
