One of the UK’s leading engineering information management companies has this week announced its third partnership within only a matter of one month.
Teesside based, Datum360, has expanded the business even further through partnering with PerfectProjects Inc – Asset Information Management Servicespecialists – as part of its growth strategy to position the company as a global business.
The Houston based partner will deliver Datum360’s advanced engineering management solutions to the process industries in the North American market.
The announcement follows in quick succession to the company partnering with two leading Malaysian companies – EDMS Consultants Sdn Bhd and Horizon 3 Sdn Bhd – both highly reputable providers in the Asia Pacific region.
Speaking about the expansion, Steve Wilson, CEO and Co-founder of Datum360 said: “It is an exciting time at Datum360 as we are fast becoming a recognised partner of choice for leading global companies.
“As the marketplace is becoming increasingly driven by expert capability, reducing costs and increasing efficiency, the demand for our software as a service – proven to deliver fast, accurate and reliable engineering information – has significantly increased.
“Our astute partners now have the opportunity to offer their clients Datum360’s advanced systems, which in return will see them save both time and money on asset intensive programmes.”
Delivering class libraries to four of the six Supermajor oil companies, Datum360 has built a reputation in the industry for implementing robust engineering information management systems at the start of major asset intensive programmes, and as such, has seen owner operators make significant financial savings, whilst increasing operational efficiencies.
Expanding its already extensive portfolio, PerfectProjects will provide Datum360’s SaaS solutions via the company’s team of expert solutions consultants.
Hans van der Drift, CEO of PerfectProjects said: “The time is right for the company to expand our portfolio. Our heritage has focused on providing recovery to distressed projects. Working alongside Datum360 will allow us to offer our clients the opportunity to implement engineering information management systems from the off-set of projects so they can achieve their desired outcome and as such, reduce the need for salvage operations further down the line as a result of failure to implement robust systems.”
Steve added: “It is imperative that companies build the costs of robust information and data management into a project, as failure to do so can result in hefty costs rectifying systems further down the line. Our system ensures that our clients receive accurate and reliable engineering information as it should be.”
Datum360 has additional offices situated all over the globe including Aberdeen, London, Kuala Lumpur and Houston. The organisation was established in 2009 and has an impressive client portfolio including Chevron, Total, Maersk Oil and GDF Suez.
