Enterprise software relies on the power of analytics to improve processes and responses. As business intelligence capabilities increase, software providers offer solutions to meet demand.
Insite Software provides business to business (B2B) ecommerce platforms and internationally enabled shipping solutions used by manufacturers and distributors. Established in 2004 and headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, the company’s solutions are used by customers worldwide to sell and distribute products through multiple channels supporting competitive advantage through end-to-end online order fulfillment. It staffs 110 employees.
The company is privately-held and does not disclose its annual revenue.
Insite’s ecommerce and shipping solutions are designed for companies of all stages of adoption. The solutions fully integrate with a range of cloud platforms, including content management systems, customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), search optimization, payment transaction, tax tables, and online analytics providers.
The company recently launched an analytics solution, InsiteAnaltyics, to help customers improve the performance of ecommerce investments and technologies.
Data-Driven Demand
Recognizing the need for analytics, Insite announces the availability of InsiteAnalytics, a new package designed to deliver key BI capabilities enabling customers to cull both big-picture trends as well as transitional micro analysis. With this data, businesses are able to understand how and when to take action to enhance engagement and improve return on ecommerce investments.
InsiteAnalytics adds to Insite’s suite of ecommerce solutions, including InsiteCommerce and Insite Ship.
InsiteCommerce is a B2B ecommerce platform architected for enterprise organizations in manufacturing and distribution. The platform is designed to meet the enterprise-level needs of manufacturers and distributors with industry-specific B2B workflows to connect the offline customer experience with the online. It ensures the delivery of a superior connected experience across any device and supports rapid deployment—90 days. It also offers standard integration with common ERP and CRM systems.
InsiteShip is a multi-carrier shipping software that eliminates the need to use carrier-specific applications to process shipments. The integration between InsiteShip, the ERP, and carrier systems syncs customer and order data, pick tickets, shipment information, and tracking numbers and houses them all in the system of record—the ERP.
The latest addition, InsiteAnalytics, is a robust and user-friendly analytics solution that gathers data from multiple sources into a single, interconnected view and guides users through the analysis process, allowing organizations to quickly and clearly identify areas of success and opportunity with their ecommerce investment. The InsiteAnalytics reporting framework delivers trend insights, scorecards, and cost-benefit modeling that results in better, faster, more actionable, and strategic decision making to improve the competitive business advantage. This allows users to invest their time acting on product, website, and customer insights rather than struggling to determine what those insights are.
Phil Schrader, product manager, data commerce, Insite Software, points out that organizations are inundated with information about customers’ buying behaviors, order histories, and website click data, which stem from multiple sources including ERP systems, Google Analytics, and customer segments. He explains that with InsiteAnalytics, the company wanted to simplify the process, recognizing that manufacturers and distributors don’t have in-house data analysts and scientists to dedicate to ecommerce reporting and analytics. “InsiteAnalytics produces what we call data insights for people with day jobs, eliminating the pain and complexity of data analysis, and enabling organizations to quickly and easily actualize the value of their data,” he notes.
InsiteAnalytics is a value-add, subscription-based offering that extends the B2B connected commerce platform. It is configurable to accommodate unique customer attributes and make insights relevant to each organization. “This enables organizations to monitor the success of ecommerce investments by mapping data to their specific business goals and adjust and recalibrate over time as ecommerce efforts mature and evolve. Organizations can be up and running on the InsiteAnalytics solution in only 30 days,” says Schrader.
InsiteAnalytics is designed to act as an extension of Insite’s work as client advisors and partners, says Schrader. “The solution specifically targets mid-market organizations that need an ecommerce analytics solution that can grow with the business, without paying the high cost of a best-of-breed enterprise solution,” he comments.
InsiteAnalytics connects online and offline data, as well as Google Analytics customer segments, and marketing results. “Unlike other commerce analytic solutions, InsiteAnalytics is purpose-built to deliver insights and analysis of key B2B ecommerce topics though pre-built but configurable dashboards, rather than putting the burden of discovering and creating the insight on the user of the tool. In this way, we accelerate the path to data-driven commerce from months to days.”
Data Science Tool
InsiteAnalytics is a value-added, subscription-based offering that extends Insite’s connected ecommerce platform. The solution is able to put completed insights into the hands of ecommerce stakeholders though pre-built, but configurable dashboards. “Getting effective insights is very often out of reach for our target market because of the time, effort, and expense involved in defining data requirements, integrating data, creating reports, and integrating reports. We put insights back in reach by removing these obstacles,” states Shrader.
The solution is currently available. Key features include holistic analytic reports, a single-source analytic resource, customer health checks, access to information anywhere, interactive users, and embedded website usability metrics. SW
