In an effort to make eyecare safer and easier for both optometrists and their patients, a digital platform called Opti-Xpres has launched nationwide to help with patient onboarding, outreach, EHR synchronization, and provide a contactless glasses frame try-on feature that currently provides the highest accuracy on the market. The application allows doctors to customize an app for their office where patients can virtually schedule appointments, fill out paperwork, receive appointment reminders, integrate payment processes and more without having a face-to-face interaction.
“As an Optometrist, I know firsthand about the concerns and frustrations doctors face when trying to combat the spread of COVID-19 in their offices,” said Opti-Xpres Founder and Total EyeCare Centers Optometrist, Dr. Larry Holle. “Our contactless platform allows patients to schedule appointments, pay bills and try on glasses from the comfort of their own homes. This allows offices to safely operate and conduct business under the new CDC guidelines. Our goal was to build out a system that truly streamlines and modernizes an office in this new era of social distancing and it has revolutionized my practice as well.”
Opti-Xpres was Co- Founded by the company’s COO, Cornelius Miller and Dr. Larry Holle. Miller formerly owned ED Resolutions LLC, a debt counseling and resolutions company that generated over $120,000 in revenues within its first 90 days and Advanced Marketing Web Solution, a website development and social media marketing firm. In 2012, Miller sold both ED Resolutions LLC and Advanced Marketing Web Solutions. Opti-Xpres’ other co-founder, Dr. Holle, is an optometrist at Total Eye-Care Centers, where he is a partner at the multi-location practice in Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, Jacob DiMartino serves as VP of Operations at Opti-Xpres. DiMartino’s experience includes six years of general management at management consultant firm, Business Innovations Group LLC. The company’s CTO, Bishop Morley has extensive experience in software development with both corporate and startup companies.
Opti-Xpres has seen a 70% increase in patients onboarding via their platform since March of 2020. The company has also seen an increase in users over the age of 65 using their service and of the current clinics using Opti-Xpres, over 72% of patients over the age of 65 have onboarded with the platform.
The Opti-Xpres virtual try-on feature includes a 360-degree scan of the frames to accurately place them on a 128-point face scan that allows patients to see exactly what glasses would look like on their face. The try-on feature currently provides the highest accuracy on the market. The try-on feature is easily accessible in the app and has allowed optometrists to reduce their on-hand frame inventory.
Opti-Xpres also offers office managers the ability to schedule emails, text messages and push notifications that can be sent out to patients on a preferred date and time. The company also offers technological solutions to attract more patients through building a web presence and helping improve an office’s search results ranking to reach more views across the web and social media.
Currently, Opti-Xpres has reminded thousands of patients of their upcoming appointments and is looking to rapidly expand into practices across the United States. The platform stores all sensitive information on a private secured dedicated server that is monitored 24/7. All web access is performed on a secure connection using the latest SSL encryption to ensure that all data remains private.
